HOLIDAYS

I m going on holiday abroad and won’t get to the gym, how do I maintain my fitness?

I suggest doing Hiit ( High Intensity Interval Training).Do a quick 10 minute Hiit session a few times a week. By using your own bodyweight you don’t need any equipment, it can be done anywhere, and its free! There are various online videos or apps to follow with free bodyweight workouts. I have attached a video I give my own clients to follow when travelling or unable to get to the gym. Hiit burns fat in record time, lowers your risk of disease and cranks up that endorphin rush making you feel great.

What is carb cycling ? I heard its really good for fat burning.

Its benefits are being able to lose body fat whilst maintaining physical performance or helping a weight loss plateau.   In short, it aims to time carbohydrate intake to when it provides maximum benefit and exclude carbs when they’re not needed. For example a popular approach is to increase carbs on training days when the body can use them efficiently and reduce them on rest days. This has been proven to help individuals get leaner and lose more body fat.

I train 4 times a week , my clothes are looser but the scales aren’t budging, what am I doing wrong?

Firstly, weighing scales SHOULD NEVER be the primary measure of your success. It’s more about fat loss than weight loss. You are obviously losing inches as your clothes feel loser, this means you are making progress and burning fat. Start using the tape measure to track your progress. Create a moderate calorie deficit in your diet. Eat protein, healthy fats and veggies with every meal. Incorporate weight training into your workout helps increase metabolic rate and burns more fat.
