We are all familiar with reading about HRT and how it can affect us…
But I don’t think I’ve ever seen a REAL LIFE, first-hand, brutally honest account of anyone’s experience…
UNTIL NOW…
Claire decided to give HRT a go after almost a year of feeling like “a bag of smashed arseholes” (her words 😂)…
She offered to write a truthful, no holds barred account of what it was like for her…
And I couldn’t accept fast enough!
Obviously, these are Claire’s personal experiences…
And it could be very different for you…
But I believe there’s nothing like a first-hand account to tell it like it is…
So here we go, ladies… But before we get stuck in:
⚠️WARNING ⚠️
It’s not for the faint-hearted 🤣
“Hi, my name’s Claire, I’m 52 years old…
I work full time, have 2 grown-up children, a husband and a couple of dogs.
I’d been feeling under the weather for a while, but this year my symptoms had really ramped up…
● Headaches
● Joint pain
● Mood swings, and
● Exhaustion
…They were starting to really bite, so I decided it was time to take action.
I’d approached the doctor for help previously, only to be told that she “didn’t have a magic wand”…😳
Isn’t it reassuring to know all of the years at medical school weren’t wasted? 🙄
Anyway, as we women tend to do, I struggled on…
My emotional state felt very fragile (quite out of character for me)…
I lacked enthusiasm and energy…
My digestion was really compromised… Everything upset my stomach…
My head felt as though my skull was in a vice…
And as far as libido goes… Well, it went…
(Probably around about 1998, but I’m blaming menopause 😂).
Suffice it to say, life wasn’t fun…
So I decided to screw my courage to the sticking place and approach my GP AGAIN…
I’ll tell you how that went next time.”
Claire 💋
