A Mammy’s Guilt

A women reading a book relaxing on the couch

This is something that has cropped up so many times that I really can’t ignore it any more…

Mammy Guilt 💀

So many of us Mammys feel guilty about “spending” time on ourselves…

You don’t have to be a parent to feel this way…

It could be that you feel guilty for not giving your partner more time…

Or opening a vein for your ungrateful twat of a boss 😂

What I’m saying is that over the years, we spend so much of our time boosting other people…

Making sure that our kids, husbands and friends have got everything they need…

That we TOTALLY overlook ourselves.

I see this as a bank account that we are constantly paying into…

But the only people who ever make a withdrawal are everyone else!

So, I’ve got an idea…

You know, like the director of a company is permitted to take dividends?

Well… THAT 👆

Now, clearly, we are not talking about money here…

I’m talking about time…

Self-compassion…

Consideration…

And genuine self-care…

Not just manicures and face packs.

True self-care that comes from finding space in our lives for US.

So many of my clients use my programme as a way to take dividends for themselves…

Lots of them have stumbled upon health and fitness later in life…

But have grabbed it with both hands as something that will provide a degree of emotional and physical “remuneration” 😏

I would love for you to think of my programme in that way…

After all, aren’t we all due a little bit back?
