Are you still doing diets your mammy did?

How many of us just carry on doing things because the people we love and respect always did them?

When I was a girl, and my Mammy wanted to lose a few pounds…

She would just give up potatoes and bread, lol…

She’d still eat sweeties and puddings…

Just not potatoes and bread 😂

Seems comical when we look at it now…

But so often, we do something just because we’ve always done it.

I have a friend who resorts to eating a feck ton of grapefruit every time her clothes get snug…

Says it “melts belly fat” 🙄

Daft mare 😂

My point is that we tend to stick to the same approach year in, year out…

Before we know it, we find ourselves on the same eating plan that we used when we were 20…

Or, worse still, that our Mammys and Aunties used when THEY were 20! Lol.

We are better educated now…

We understand more about what our bodies need… Particularly as we age.
